As we prepare to wrap up the year and celebrate the holiday season. I wanted to share a few of the photos from our trip to Greece where we adopted THREE Orphanages, thanks to all of you that contributed to sponsor a child or more!
We had a volunteer travel team of past delegates travel together, in total there were 9 of us from all over the U.S. that met in NY’s JFK airport, so we could make the transatlantic flight together. It was a very fun and bonding 11 hours in the air together. Once we arrived, we did lots of site-seeing, a handful of press conferences, as well as dinner with the former King of Greece… with the high-point of the 6-day adventure being our holiday celebration we brought to the orphanages. The first photo below is all the boxes of gifts arriving at the airport… We checked over 20 boxes and we were fortunate that all of the luggage and all of our boxes arrived.
Thank you to each and every one of you for your support of the SMILE Program and the many outreaches it serves. This holiday season, through your generosity, we were able to bring gifts, smiles and love to many children that may have otherwise not have had a holiday.
Wishing each of you and your families a very happy holiday season and we look forward to an empowering 2007 together!
