Marshall had a nice smile, but not being totally satisfied with the appearance and actually now wanting an incredible smile he came to see Dr. Huefner for a cosmetic dentistry consultation/smile analysis.

Before porcelain veneers and cosmetic dentistry

With his “grinding and clenching” habit, his teeth had worn and thinned over the years and was starting to chip.  Marshall knew that it was just the matter of time before the edges of the teeth were so thin and weak that they would break off easily.  Also, he didn’t like the color and shape of his teeth, and thought that he would like them to be a little longer so that he would actually show more teeth.  He also had an old porcelain cap on one of his back teeth that was old and he hated the way it looked with the metal band around the gums.  He was ready for a “new smile” with modern cosmetic dentistry.

Dr. Huefner placed porcelain veneers on his front teeth and replaced the old cap with al all ceramic crown.  All the restorations were non-metal, all-ceramic material bonded to his teeth with the dental argon laser.  Marshall chose the color of his teeth, wanting them very white.  He realized that he was asking for a color slightly lighter than the lightest natural color of teeth that appears in nature.  Also, Dr. Huefner gave him the longer, more fuller teeth as he had requested.  Marshall was also very involved in the design of the shape of each of his teeth.
